“Wars are mighty expensive things. Lots of inventor folks kept trying to win the war with one weapon, which is why some feller named Von Springof invented the Mech. Heh, true fact: the Mech’s actual name is the ::takes out slip of paper:: AusBefahlMekanKreigurung. Learned that one from an actual Prussian officer! Anyways, everyone copied the basic design and the US army figured they would make excellant replacement mounts for the cavalry, ’specailly since the rebel dogs got them Velociraptors to ride.
